Podcasting

Here’s a peek at what I’m doing behind the scenes here as I am producing a new podcast. It’s going to be historically based, a kind of “what happened 250 years ago on this date” as we are coming up on the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.
The character I’m using as my voice is named Colonel Shufflebottom. He’s an aristocrat, snobby and really doesn’t like his job of managing the mayhem with the American Revolution in 1775 Boston.

During the Covid lock-down in 2020 I became very bored. So I started acting!

Video Production

My dream that started what became a production company called The Pixel Syndicate started in the winter of 1997 while working in West Michigan with Internet and Website Development industry.
I imagined a team who could utilize the future promises of the World Wide Web to expand traditional creative processes beyond traditional media like paper, video tape and film.
Now in the 2020’s, with experienced crew and cutting edge equipment, it’s never been easier to produce beautiful marketing content, short films, documentaries or feature-length productions.
We dedicate much of our video production experience to serve our United States Veterans and local Ice Hockey friends and family.
Pop Culture and Generative AI
Every decade, it seems, must learn many new tools, programming languages and protocols. One of those new things is how to use Generative AI to work smarter, lift work loads and stay on top of the job listings. One of the fun things we get to do with Generative AI (aka AI Slop) is to make memes with them.
What seems to be a theme in the meme culture is a culturally recognizable cinematic staging that moves on to a dramatic build and ends with an anticlimactic punchline.
I Slept In!
In this example, my character has stepped out of a survival vault into a world devastated beyond recognition.
This humor works best when the visuals are epic and grim, but the line is mundane, self-absorbed, or absurdly casual.
Check out my prototypes over at Sora.ChatGPT.Com and these as a episodic series at my YouTube Playlist titled My Pop Culture Cameos.

Bassist’s Little Helper
I created a tool to assist me in translating chord-charts to the Nashville Numbering System. Especially helpful if your band changes keys often, or you have more than 4 strings!

Random Python
When studying how to train AI neural network models, I came across a SQLite database containing the TV series scripts, so I wrote a web app over top of to have some fun.
